Disney has abandoned the Dawn Treader. However Walden Media has the rights to the books and therefore can continue with the series...
They are currently looking for a new co-financer and heads point towards Fox.
Fox joined Walden Media for a seperate Studio "Walden Fox", narnia was already takend by Disney at the time. So far, Walden-Fox's movies have been either moderate or dissapointing, if they pick up the Narnia franchise it will be sure hits for them.
LWW: $291 DM and $741 WW PC: $141 DM and $419 WW.
the drop in PC was that it was sandwiched between Iron Man and Indy 4, and it lost its holiday winter season which LWW had and for fantasy, its the best place for release. Also, PC wasn't as faithful as LWW was to the book. There was ALOT added to it, and for many that isn't always a good thing.
I loved it, still like LWW more myself. hopefully here on out though they are more faithful to the books.
